Shamba Update

We've really gone a long way with planting a production vegetable garden at the children's home property.  We're trying to utilize every bit of space within the 1 acre that is plowed.  It's hard to show in a photo, but we have all of the following items planted: sweet corn, maize corn, kale, spinach, cabbage, yellow squash, zucchini, onions, pinto beans, green peas, tomatoes, watermelons, cantelope, okra, sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, lettuce and also 3 banana trees and 4 passion fruit vines.

There's definitely one benefit to the rainy season, you never have to irrigate, just plant and be guaranteed that you'll get a couple inches of rain in the evening.
